Congratulations you’ve found the gown

Now lets make it your own.

When to begin the alteration process.

  • Once you’ve purchased or ordered your gown, it’s time to contact us. Begin by filling out the contact form on our website. We will be back in touch shortly (typically within 24 hours), so hang tight until you hear back from us.
  • From there we will walk you through what to expect next and serve you as a White Orchid bride.

What to expect at the first fitting.

  • We will establish our timeline and cost estimate, and discuss everything that needs to be done to your gown to make it feel like home. We will also explore design changes and ideas.
  • Each appointment is scheduled for 45 minutes.

How many appointments does it take?

  • Typically, alterations require 3 appointments in total however it can vary depending on the scope of work. But no worries, we will do what it takes to get it right, even if that means an extra appointment!

What do I need to bring?

  • The dress, of course! Plus anything you plan to wear on your special day, including shapewear or undergarments and especially your shoes. I won’t be able to set the hem without them.

When does my dress go home with me?

  • At the final appointment. Payment is also due at this time!
  • To ensure the best possible fit, the final appointment is scheduled 2 – 3 weeks before your wedding day.

HELPFUL reminders

  • Please limit perfume and makeup for your fittings, something about white fabric and makeup just don’t mix, and can be very difficult to remove.
  • Please do not change scheduled appointments. My calendar gets packed fast, especially during the peak season, March – October.
  • Availability is limited, and that is because I strongly believe in quality over quantity, and keeping the work at its highest possible standards. Maintaining personalized time for each fitting is key to providing you with the best possible service!
